My soap for the @soapchallengeclub for September is called 'Oatmilk plaid'. This soap is made completely without colouring, all colours come from different usage of the same oat milk.
I used the same concentrated oat milk that I use for my coffee. You are supposed to mix it with 2 parts of water to get normal oat milk. For the brightest colour I mixed it 1:1 with destilled water, used it as 50% of my liquid and mixed my oat milk-oils and the lye at 30 degrees Celsius.
For the darkest colour I used the concentrated oat milk without diluting it as 100% liquid and added the lye directly to it. I didn’t freeze the oat milk because I wanted to 'burn' it on purpose to get a nice dark brown. When I mixed the oils and the oatmilk-lye they had a temperature of 50-60 degrees Celsius.
Both slabs are scented with 'Honeywash' (Gracefruit) and were oven processed at 50 degrees C to force gel.
For the middle brown I used the concentrated oat milk, without diluting it, as 50% of the liquid. I mixed oils and lye at 30 degrees C and scented it with 'Breakfast Parfait' (Gracefruit) because I ran out of 'Honeywash'. Both scents move slow and don’t discolour. I oven processed the entire loaf at 50 degrees Celsius.
The pieces were glued onto the template by dipping each piece in melt and pour soap. I cut off the bottom of the soaps to remove said melt and pour from the finished soaps.

This soap challenge was a piece of cake! Literally.
I opted for the Black Forest cake (• Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) in the traditional style that I’ve known and loved since my childhood. This was my first time making one myself though.
It is scented with ‚sucre de cocoa‘ (Gracefruit). The fragrance oil discolors to brown, so l only scented the brown parts. Unfortunately it bled to the white parts anyway, but I almost fixed it with the comic 2D outlines, which was the second part of the challenge.
